RECYCOTAPE is designed to easily disassemble with the box during the recycling process.
Neenah, an American specialty paper product manufacturer, has introduced an advanced sustainable packaging tape backing.
The tape backing called RECYCOTAPE is completely recyclable and can be disassembled with the shipping box or packing box, so there is no need to take it out of the box.
The fiber used to make this product has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and can be easily repulped and the coating removed during the recycling process.
These base papers provide usable fiber for reprocessing into new paper.
Neenah Tape Product Manager Chris Boothby said: "The market is increasingly interested in environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional packaging tapes and viable alternatives to non-recyclable plastic tapes used to seal corrugated boxes. RECYCOTAPE is both.

Neenah is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia and specializes in filter media, specialty coatings, engineered materials and quality packaging.
It has manufacturing plants in North America, Europe and the United Kingdom, serving customers on six continents.
The company reported that net sales in the second quarter of this year increased by 67% to 269.3 million U.S. dollars, compared with 16.14 billion U.S. dollars in the same period last year.
In May, Neenah added an ultra-lightweight reinforced paper solution to its single-use aseptic packaging line.
The solution is 72 grams to one square meter (gsm), which is said to be more affordable and have a longer service life than kraft paper and synthetic-based medical packaging.
The product is suitable as a sustainable alternative to nasal swabs, syringes and other disposable medical applications.
Neenah's paper-based products are made with FSC-controlled fibers, comply with regulatory standards and accept steam and ethylene oxide sterilization methods.
