Supergirl will land on November 9. This two-hour series ending is full of action, emotion and old friends... and even pays homage to the character's previous avatars. Cara (Melissa Benoist) and the gang race to save Esme (Milla Jones), Alex (Keller Wright) and Kelly (Azi Tesfa)’s Love Totem's adopted son, from Lex, this is a scene with full participation (Jon Cryer) and Nyxly (Peta Sergeant). This means that we are changing from Kelly’s brother Jimmy Olsen (Mechad Brooks), a former CatCo technician, to a superhero legion member Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan) and his legion companion Mon-El (Benoist’s real-life Husband) got support there, Chris Wood).

Much of the first part is about the team trying to stop Nyxly and Lex-Boris and Natasha in the fifth dimension-collecting all the totems they need to take over, while also authorizing the citizens of the country to release their own inner heart. hero. After that, as Kelly and Alex finally tied the knot, things calmed down and became emotional. This is not to be missed. Especially because, just like the action part of our program, everyone on the canvas has his own moment.

In fact, Kara’s good friend Lena Luthor got a pair of shoes that shocked us, so we called Katie McGrath at the opening and talked about her five-year journey as this complex and ultimately charming woman, and Is it possible for us to see her again in any other super show of CW.

Okay, so I only watched these episodes, and the way they spend most of the second hour of the finale on this family and this celebration is so cute. I really like it. Lena can give this incredible speech to Kara.

Katie McGrath: I know. I can't believe that I really successfully passed it that day because it was the last week of our shooting. So all the emotions are on the rise, and you know that this is a good combination of five-year storylines. This is also the last week, you will fight it over time, and you want to treat it fairly. So I prepared for so long...

You nailed it. I was thinking that you might also be dealing with the emotions of filming a series for all these actors.

Oh yes, every day. This is how things are, in almost every scene in the past two or three days, you will wrap someone up and they are saying goodbye. I know this sounds trite, but these are your family members. For five years, you have been in the trenches, you celebrated, you did everything with them, to me, five years, you are saying goodbye. Everyone has a different reaction to it, and you are watching everyone's reaction. This is a lot. This is a lot.

I can imagine. In the last two hours, you can see how far Lena has gone. We reviewed the evolution of all these roles well. Not only did she help Andrea (Julie Gonzalo) accept the past, but she also became a [spoiler]!

I know, right? When I read it in the script, I thought, "This is crazy." But I understand, I have a lot of money, so I am the best choice. [laugh]

So when did you get the script and start shooting?

We tend to keep the script very close to when we started shooting, which is actually very good for this, because it means we don’t have to sit for too long to say goodbye. You just got the script, we went straight into it. Like you said, it was also made up of two people, so we [first] did all these actions, and then the last week of shooting was even colder. Many are weddings. They exclude all the big action movies, which means you feel you are doing more of these character movies, which is a good way to relax. If it makes sense, stop on the show and say goodbye in real life.

Oh, totally. To what extent does this allow you to review Lena's starting point and how long has it been for you?

Oh man, I said in other interviews that I was hired to produce three episodes in season 2. I know, crazy! So go there on the last day, like you said, have this amazing scene with Melissa, and then for Alex and Kelly [spoiler]? Did you tell me on the first day of my filming, when I was frightened by the fact that I was filming with Superman and Supergirl, I didn’t know what I was doing, so jet lag was so bad that I couldn’t tell you my ass came from me damn it Elbow, and five years later, is this where I am? I sat there for a while and thought, "How did I take this off? How? How did I lie to them for so long to give me a job?" [Laughs]

How does it feel like everyone is back?

Oh god, it's the best choice to get Mehcad back, and then Jeremy. Everyone came in and felt that they had never left at all. It was so cute. Everyone rejoined. I always say this to your real friend—I don’t know if others agree with me—but I always think that a real friend is someone I haven’t contacted for six months. I picked up the phone, just like we were yesterday. Same conversation. That's how it feels. They just came back and felt like home. Again, I will say a lot of clichés, Damian, I'm so sorry! But it did it, and it felt like family.

It reads on the screen. In addition, we have seen you at the conference... This is one of the programs where "family" really exists.

Without it, we cannot do this. It's not just actors...we are all together. If we don't really like each other as humans, we won't be able to manage it. A large part of it is not only our on-site staff, but also our production team, our writing materials and producers. Everyone is so dedicated. This is a very strange, very practical but dysfunctional family. [laugh]

Now, for fans who want #Supercorp to happen, I think what they gave us in the end is better.

Oh, I'm glad you said that.

It's like their "For Good" moment in Wicked, Kara and Lena talk about how they helped each other grow. Kara said "You pushed me more than anyone else", and then Lena killed me with "You make me a better person".

The thing you want to end is to make everyone leave happily, everyone thinks-I know it sounds weird-but everyone can feel that they are being seen, as if their show is being portrayed , No matter what the show is. This is what I think is really important for screenwriters, producers and all of us, at the end of the six years, the people who have walked the whole journey with us, you want them to feel that way when watching, no matter What is their show, what they are watching is their show. It doesn't matter who it is or what it is, this is their show, and you hope they got it from the last episode.

As a show and an actor, being able to complete the last episode is a real privilege, because we often can't do it. Before that, the show was often cancelled, and the story did not end. It is very, very special to get the space of the studio, Warner Bros. and DC to be able to do this. Hope we got it right.

I feel the same as you. I have been there since the first day. When they were shooting CBS in Los Angeles, I was on the set.

OMG. Back to the dark ages. [laugh]

Exactly. Now I have to... Lena's wedding photo? This is amazing.

thank you very much! Our costume designer is a very considerate woman, she is very patient with me. She has an idea, I have an idea, hair and makeup ideas... It's a whole [laughs]. I like the idea of everyone attending a wedding, but Lena will definitely attend a completely different wedding. I thought, "Well. I want to make a statement."

This is all Lena. She will not show up in a floral dress.

Do not. But does she look like the leader of a Colombian drug cartel? [laugh]

I thought, "This woman is ready to attend the fashion week party."

Thanks! We really worked hard and I thought, "Oh, let's hit the ball against the wall and go all the way." Literally. So this is a lot of double-sided tape, baby. Lots of tape. [laugh]

So how did you say goodbye to this character?

Oh, I think I will never say goodbye to her. I don't think I can. I think I don't want to. I have said it countless times: Lena is the woman I want to be. She is confident, kind and smart. She is calm in a crisis, she is all this. I looked at her five years later and I thought about how much she had overcome, all her fears, all her self-doubts. After five years, I finally reached the point of accepting her completely. Why should I say goodbye to her? Why should I let go? I want to keep her by my side forever.

With her being Luthor and CWverse, you might be able to!

Listen, from your mouth to God's ears, my dear.

So what are you going to do next? Do you want to take a break, or do you want to start doing something right away?

Gosh, no. rest? Gosh, no. These are for people who are smart, well-rounded, and emotionally stable. No, I am working. I'm working. I have been baking cakes for my friends since 4 in the morning.

OMG. Look? That is Lena. Lena would do that.

I know, right? Because she was like, "Sleep is for ex-smokers, guys. Sleep is for ex-smokers." Yes, no, I do have another job. I can't tell you what it is, but I do have one. So when you know what it is, [we can do it again]. Please don't abandon me now, because I am no longer a Supergirl. Come and talk to me, I will make a fool of myself! [laugh]
