The company has developed a super strong, malleable polymer tape-Core77

A company called Trillium Marketing, Inc. developed Braeön (pronounced "brawn"), which they call "the strongest and most adaptable material in the world." Braeön is a 100% plastic product in the shape of a ribbon, which seems to be a super version of the strap:

The strapping analogy is very relevant, because Braeön is a combination of thermoplastic fibers and a thermoplastic polymer matrix. "Basically, the thermoplastic polymer matrix holds the thermoplastic fibers in place," the company wrote. They claim that one ribbon can bear more than 2,000 pounds, and the strength is almost expandable (that is, two ribbons can bear about twice the weight).

At US$1 per foot, this material is not cheap, but it did not stop more than 1,000 supporters from pledged to push Kickstarter’s sales to US$45,881 with a pledge of US$15,000.

The product is scheduled to ship in May this year, and interestingly, the developer's goal is to expand beyond the ribbon shape in the future. "We plan to offer Braeön in different configurations through our website in the future," they wrote. "These configurations may include braided sheets, rods or filaments."

Is this ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene? It looks like this.
